The Ethnicity, Race, and Migration (ER&M) program at Yale University offers an interdisciplinary approach to studying the histories, cultures, and social movements of diasporic, marginalized, and Indigenous communities. Through a combination of rigorous coursework and faculty mentorship, the program critically examines issues such as race, ethnicity, migration, transnationalism, settler colonialism, and social justice.
The ER&M undergraduate program provides students with a comprehensive foundation in these areas, preparing them for careers in academia, law, public policy, education, and beyond. For graduate students, the ER&M program offers a certificate that complements their primary field of study, equipping them with interdisciplinary tools to analyze global systems of power and advocate for meaningful change.
